Cannabis on Twitter? Again?

Twitter has recently changed its rules to allow cannabis companies to advertise on the platform. Cannabis, as well as other mature topics such as liquor and adult websites all enjoy strict advertisement limitations placed on them by state and federal agencies regarding content, locations, content, and times the advertisements. Other advertising platforms such as Facebook and Google do not allow Cannabis advertising because of the effort it would take to moderate them. While Twitter advertisements still have to follow the legal regulations, this opens up advertising options to an industry that has been excluded from traditional venues.
